Meet Brandy Schantz — Founder, Veteran, Advocate
Brandy Schantz is a U.S. Army veteran, author, speaker, and workplace strategist specializing in disability employment, chronic illness, and inclusive workforce policy. Following a severe medication reaction that resulted in multiple disabling conditions, she shifted her career toward advancing employment opportunities for people with disabilities by combining lived experience with expertise in human resources, public policy, and strategic communications. Schantz is the author of Living Chronic: Conversations That Changed Me, Lessons That Saved Me and the host of Living Chronic: Ability at Work, where she interviews leaders from government, healthcare, business, and the disability community. She serves as Chair of the Virginia State Rehabilitation Council and has more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning national security, government consulting, workforce development, and executive communications. Her work has been featured through speaking engagements, media interviews, and advocacy focused on building workplaces where ability comes first.
